Reducing packaging weight is a concrete lever for improving industrial logistics efficiency. Every container, package or protection system enters the calculation of transport, handling, storage and internal management costs.

When handled volumes are high, even a few grams or kilograms less per unit can generate significant benefits over time.

Weight Does Not Only Concern Transport

Packaging weight is often associated exclusively with shipping costs. In reality, its impact is much broader. Heavy packaging affects the daily operations of operators, vehicle loading efficiency, loading and unloading times and warehouse space organisation.
